Gulftainer is hiring an Operations Supervisor to lead a shift team at our Sharjah container terminal. You will plan vessel and yard operations, drive berth productivity and keep safety standards high across a team of crane operators, lashers and equipment drivers. The terminal runs around the clock, so the role involves a rotating 12-hour shift pattern.
Responsibilities
- Plan and supervise vessel discharge and loading for each shift
- Allocate labour and equipment to meet berth productivity targets
- Monitor yard density and container stacking accuracy in the TOS
- Lead toolbox talks and enforce port safety procedures
- Report shift performance, delays and incidents to the operations manager
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Logistics, Maritime Studies or Engineering
- Minimum 5 years in container terminal operations, including 2 as a supervisor
- Working knowledge of a terminal operating system such as NAVIS
- Strong leadership of large frontline teams
- Willing to work rotating 12-hour shifts including nights
