Job overview
Sukoon Insurance is looking for an Accountant in Omar Bin Al Khattab Street to handle day-to-day accounting and support the monthly close. You will manage ledgers, reconciliations, payables and receivables, and help prepare accurate reporting and VAT submissions in line with UAE regulations.
Responsibilities
- Maintain general ledger entries and supporting schedules
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
- Perform bank, supplier and intercompany reconciliations
- Support the monthly and annual closing process
- Prepare VAT returns in line with UAE FTA requirements
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
- Liaise with external auditors and provide required documentation
- Maintain accurate fixed asset and prepayment registers
Requirements
- 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in the UAE
- Solid knowledge of IFRS and UAE VAT
- Strong Excel skills and experience with an accounting ERP
- High accuracy and attention to detail
- Good English communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or commerce
